Learnbubble
Overview
Giving students access to your courses
To be exact, this section should actually be described as setting up Administrators, Reviewers, Tutors, Assessors, Moderators and Students,
as the same simple method is used for all of them; but it would make our headings a little less snappy!
Administrators
There are two types of administrators, those who set up new users and other system wide information, and those who create and update course content. Both roles may be given to the same people if desired.
Reviewers
When you create or amend a course it can be sent to one or more reviewers before being released for use by students. A reviewer is given access to these courses by the administrator.
Tutors
All courses have an associated tutor. This allows the student to send and receive messages, and to submit coursework to the tutor.
This personalisation is an important feature of Learnbubble, giving the student
a real person to help them when needed.
Assessors
If your course includes a final assessment that requires marking in order to
award an examination mark (either formally or informally), an assessor is
required. Often our customers give this role to the person already defined as the tutor, but Learnbubble gives you the flexibility to
separate these tasks.
Moderators
In formal situations, such as examination boards, a moderator is required to check a random sample of assessments to verify the standard of the marks given to the students of the course.
Learnbubble provides the ability for a moderator to carry out this task and issue individual or across the board modifications to the marks given.
Students
Similar to setting up reviewers, students are defined and then given access to one or more courses. Additional options, such as assigning expiry dates and coursework file size limits can also be specified.
The screen samples included here show a person's profile and that person being given access to different courses.
